Bringing leaders to campus is central to the mission of the Business for a Better World Center within the School of Business at George Mason University. The Center launched the Stakeholder Capitalism Discussion Series in 2021 to explore how stakeholder capitalism can be applied to businesses in a world rife with persistent inequality, social injustice, racial bias, and environmental degradation. On Thursday, June 17, 2021, the Center welcomed Franz Paasche, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at PayPal. The conversation focused on the man ways PayPal is incorporating a stakeholder capitalism mindset into its business practices, and how the company treats its employees and customers.
