Spring 2023 Graduation Ceremonies
The University Commencement will take place on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 10 a.m. in EagleBank Arena. President Gregory Washington will preside at this ceremony, which will feature student, faculty, and guest speakers. Doctoral graduates will be individually recognized and photographed on stage. All graduates will be asked to stand and be acknowledged by deans and directors.
Graduates will need to register for tickets to the Commencement ceremony and may register for up to 9 tickets The deadline for the initial ticket request period is May 1.
Commencement morning, all graduates will be credentialed by G number and wrist banded on the Wilkins Plaza just prior to processing to the EagleBank Arena floor.
The School of Business Degree Celebration will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 6 p.m. in EagleBank Arena. At the Degree Celebration ceremony, business graduates will be individually recognized and walk across the stage when their names are called, shake hands with the Dean, and have their pictures taken. The event will also feature guest speakers.
Graduates are encouraged to attend both the official university commencement ceremony and the school's degree celebration ceremony.
Attire: Academic regalia are required for degree candidates for the Degree Celebration and Commencement ceremonies. Degree candidates can buy regalia in person at the Mason Bookstore on the Fairfax and Arlington campuses, as well as order a diploma frame or additional Mason products. Online regalia sales are also available.
Tickets: No tickets are required, and all guests are welcome for the School of Business Degree Celebration on May 20, 2023.

Honor Cords: Letters are sent from the Office of the Provost. Recipients may purchase Honor Cords at the Mason Campus Bookstore, Johnson Center, 1st Floor, 703-993-2666.
