Biography
Sid Subramanyam graduated in 2006 with a degree in Finance. As he progressed in his career in financial services, he has started to get more involved in trying to recruit and help develop young aspiring advisors. Sid realized that trying to shape their communication and leadership skills should not start once they find a career or are in the job hunt, it needs to start a lot earlier. He knows that GMU does do a great job of trying to instill these skills in students through various classes and workshops, but that the involvement of alumni could help develop their skills even further. That is primarily why he wants to get involved.
Sid graduated from W.T. Woodson in Fairfax and attended Virginia Tech after graduation. He transferred to GMU after his sophomore year because he felt like he was wasting time at VT. He is the type that needs to be busy in order to be productive. Sid transferred back closer to home, was attending Mason full-time, working, and coaching sports. He found the internship that led to his career decision through the help of the School of Management.
Sid is grateful for his experience at George Mason and looks forward to giving back any way possible.
