Thomas (Tom) R. Robinson

Thomas (Tom) R. Robinson, PhD, CFA, CFP®, CAIA, joins George Mason University’s Costello College of Business as term assistant professor and director of the financial planning and wealth management concentration. He brings more than 40 years of experience in financial services and financial education, including leadership roles as president and CEO of AACSB International, the global business school accreditor, and managing director of education at CFA Institute. Tom has held tenured faculty and administrative positions at the University of Miami and most recently served as department chair at the College for Financial Planning. A recognized thought leader and educator, he has authored numerous publications on financial analysis, valuation, and personal financial planning. He also has extensive practice experience in tax and financial planning. He is committed to preparing students for successful careers as financial professionals through rigorous, practice-informed education.
