When Cory, BS Finance ’18, and Ashley Brooks (formerly Reichert), BS Finance and Marketing ’19, first started dating at George Mason University nearly a decade ago, they didn’t yet realize that their love story would one day turn into marriage, both working as wealth advisors for the same company, volunteering their time at the school where they first met, becoming parents to a beautiful baby girl—and so much more.

Haoling Wang was taking a professional skills development course taught by Karen King, an associate professor in business foundations at the Costello College of Business, when he was encouraged by her to take advantage of the resources being offered by the college.

Receiving the Janis S. Reed Scholarship sharpened the focus even more for the goal-oriented Anh Tran. Wrapping up her final semester as an undergraduate student in accounting and completing the bachelor’s to accelerated master’s (BAM) program, she already had her eyes on the larger picture.

The Costello College of Business at George Mason University, in partnership with the Deloitte Foundation, offers a limited number of full scholarships to select students pursuing the Costello master’s in accounting for the 2025-26 academic year. This scholarship covers 100% of tuition and academic fees (excluding books and living expenses). Learn more.

A new Hazel–Peterson Scholarship fund has been established in the name of the Hazel and Peterson families to support undergraduate students pursuing a minor in real estate development at the Costello College of Business of George Mason University.

The scholarship luncheon, held each fall by the Donald G. Costello College of Business at George Mason University, brings together scholarship donors with the student recipients of those scholarships. On Tuesday, November 7, the latest group of donors and awardees gathered to build connections and share inspiration.
