Biography
Ruta Aidis, PhD., is a leading expert in gender and economic development. She has more than 25 years of experience teaching, researching, consulting and publishing in the area of gender, women’s economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, innovation and institutional development. Dr. Aidis has led the development of ground-breaking gendered indices using country comparative data. Her research interests include institutional and policy influences on gender and diversity dynamics in value creation and business development. Dr. Aidis has a PhD in Economics (University of Amsterdam), an MA in International Development (Institute of Social Studies) and a BA in Cultural Anthropology (University of Maryland).
